CATHETER TIPPING

PERFORMED  by MSI AUTOMATION BENCHTOP UNIT

Catheter Tipping is a common use for Induction Units. Here is shown a photo of a .155" diameter carbide forming tool being heated (for demonstration) in several seconds. The heat of the carbide forming tool is transferred to the catheter inserted inside the carbide forming tool. Actual heating time from ambient to 300F is about 2-3 seconds. A cooling cycle follows the hear soak cycle, allowing the catheter to be removed. Process then repeats.
